New York has taken a continuous step by asking companies to discuss whether artificial intelligence is the reason for their release.
Moving application to the existing system of modifying workers and reconstruction (WARN) of the New York State State and will enter into force in March, Bloomberg Reported. New York is the first state in the US to have added publication, which could help regulatory authorities understand the effects of AI on the labor market.
The change takes the form of the check box added to the employer form at least 90 days before the mass layout or closure of the plant through the warning system. At the time of writing, no companies submitting a notice of warnings in the state stated that the release was caused by AI.
So far, no other states have followed the leadership of New York in adding AI to disclose their warning warnings, but some experts indicate “signals of growing concerns between regulatory bodies,” said one CEO Bloomberg.
