Martha Stewart shares a tree that most identifies | Businessman

Every week at Entrepreneur podcast, as success, I will talk to amazing people who do amazing things and ask, “How the hell did you do?” This weekend we have an edition of the program Size of refreshments representing a person who is simply amazing and is a real icon of American business and culture: Martha Stewart.

A few weeks ago, I had to meet Diva of Homesticity at an amazing event in the Botanical Gardens in New York, Bronx. If you have never been to botanical gardens, it is 250 hectares of every tree, plants and flowers that you can imagine, including Martha Roses, a hybrid tea rose named after the race, Martha Stewart. Botanical gardens in New York are beautiful. It’s amazing. It’s all very not – “Bronx”.

So we ate and drank at the event as we flipped through the website of Martha Stewart’s gardening manual, the latest edition of her crazy great bibliography of more than 100 books she wrote at this point.

Now that I said I gave Martha, I exaggerated a little. When she walked in farmer’s overalls, I fulfilled my face with these model things. I said, “Hey, Martho!” While trying to swallow. She turned her head to me and nodded. And then … Well, it was it. But she meets her, isn’t it? It was in a hurry. She was on his way to the daily hand, recording her show iheartradio, Martha Stewart Podcast, where we all gathered, sit and list.

For this episode, Martha, who is the chief horticultural director of Miracle Grow, decided to talk to a celebrity who did not know anything about gardening to give her to get down and dirty. That the celebrity was an actress and activist Jameel Jamil you probably know from her role Tahani A good place.

Martha and Jameel’s conversation was ridiculously funny and also revealed – Martha did not put a shrub when she meant something. She forced one -time lines, Zingers and some slight insults here and there. It was really amazing to watch someone in action that had gone through fire in life and apparently no longer giving a flying fig.

Martha talked in detail about the physical and meditative benefits she gained from the horticulture, and at the same time gave the administrators of her property sitting in the audience, several shoving bullshit for the state of roses in her house. “A lot of garden,” Jameele said. “The next day I cut the roses, I was there for hours in the oven. Every single muscle in my body gained. And all my arms bleed and my legs bleed.”

“Sounds amazing,” Dead Jameel.

Martha further explained that she has on her fairy and surprise when she explains, “I affect the trees. And I have my favorite and the one I identify most, and I identify it most, and when we first lost my company. I am the mother of all trees.”

The conversation swung and weaved and provided all kinds of knowledge about the way Marth’s mind works, and shows its ability to re -enter space – when it’s eating, writing or television hosting – and controlling. And Jameel, who herself does not remove herself to make large swings with creative and preferences and activities named women, interrupted why everyone in this audience was hanging on Marthina every word: “Everything comes to courage.
